Personnel for Industry

The purpose of Personnel for Industry is to create conditions for long-term cooperation between companies from the ARP S.A. Capital Group and the education sector (technical and industry schools and vocational training centres).

Who is the Personnel for Industry programme targeted at?

The initiative consists in cooperation between future employers and vocational schools. Companies and vocational training centres jointly create, among other things, patronage classes, apprenticeship programmes and organise open classes.

COOPERATION OF COMPANIES FROM THE ARP S.A. CAPITAL GROUP

The involvement of companies from the ARP S.A. Capital Group consists, among other things, in launching traineeship programmes, arranging visits to workplaces, conducting open days, apprenticeships and supporting dual system learning. As part of the programme, companies and schools prepare an educational and practical offer for students, which helps them decide whether the chosen course of study meets market needs. Pupils can enrol in patronage classes based on curricula co-designed with future employers. This has a direct impact on the practical transfer of skills and ensures that from day one the company gains an employee with the knowledge and competences it needs.

In 2018-2019, within the framework of Personnel for Industry, approximately 45 agreements were signed, in which the parties were ARP S.A., companies from the ARP S.A. Capital Group and vocational schools or technical schools. During numerous webinars and meetings with experts, students were able to learn about the objectives and tasks of the companies concerned, as well as participate in professional internships.

ACTIVITIES TO DATE

As part of the "Personnel for Industry" programme, ARP S.A. signed an agreement with the Conference of Rectors of Public Vocational Schools. The aim of the agreement was to adjust the educational offer of vocational schools to the expectations of employers, and thus to increase the chances of graduates in the labour market. Cooperation with the Conference of Rectors of Public Vocational Schools has also resulted in the Competition for the ARP President's Award for the best MA, BA and engineering thesis in the field of technologies for advanced industry, IT, business environment and enterprise management in the conditions of globalizing markets. So far, two editions of the competition have been held, each under the patronage of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland.

PERSONNEL FOR INDUSTRY PROGRAMME IN 2020

In 2020, the programme Personnel for Industry was implemented in two companies of the ARP S.A. Group: Warszawskie Zakłady Mechaniczne PZL-WZM and Inofama S.A. The internal audit allowed us to identify the personnel needs of the companies and to define key competencies and requirements of employers in relation to young employees. After learning about the local market of technical and vocational schools of the first degree, appropriate schools and fields of study were matched to the needs of the companies, and the Young Industry application was implemented in the schools, thanks to which students were given the opportunity to expand their knowledge desired by the employer, communicate directly with employers and cooperate on microprojects. E-learning courses were also created to educate young people in the areas desired by the companies and to verify their knowledge.
