Date of posting: 2023-12-04

From November 20th to 24th, 2023, Industrial Development Agency JSC participated in the annual meeting of representatives of the hydrogen economy – the European Hydrogen Week in Brussels.

European Hydrogen Week serves as a platform for the exchange of experiences and education in the field of the hydrogen economy. The event is jointly organized by European Commission, Clean Hydrogen Partnership, Hydrogen Europe Association and Hydrogen Europe Research Association. During the European Hydrogen Week in Brussels, our Hydrogen Expert Szymon Płoński – responsible for cooperation with hydrogen valleys in Industrial Development Agency JSC – gave a presentation on the Polish Hydrogen Valleys Innovation Ecosystem.

In Poland, there are currently eleven hydrogen valley projects. Eight of them were consulted or were created on the initiative of ARP S.A., which actively engages in the development of the hydrogen economy ecosystem in Poland. Hydrogen valleys in Poland aim to support the decarbonization process of energy-intensive industries, locate technology demonstrators in industrial parks and special economic zones (SSE) and build the Polish value chain of hydrogen technology. Industrial Development Agency JSC actively participates in the Hydrogen Sector Deal – cooperation platform to operationalize the aims of the Polish Hydrogen Strategy. Szymon Płoński is coordinating the Working Group which is focused on the financial programs for the Hydrogen Valleys development in Poland.

European Hydrogen Week was visited by over 6000 participants. The five-day event featured a series of substantive discussions and panel sessions covering topics such as challenges related to hydrogen import and innovations in the European Union in the field of hydrogen technologies.

ARP S.A. was present at the event along with following partners:

  • National Centre for Research and Development (National Contact Point for EU Research Programmes)
