- Throughout 2021, as many as 45 decisions to support new investments were issued in the Tarnobrzeg Special Economic Zone EURO-PARK WISŁOSAN, and a total of one hundred such decisions since the beginning of the Polish Investment Zone. The construction of the lithium production plant and installation at EURO-PARK KOBIERZYCE is another proof that despite the pandemic, the Polish economy is developing rapidly. This is the 6th investment of South Korean companies in Poland in 2021. In the past twelve months, companies from this country have already invested over 3.5 billion PLN within the Polish Investment Zone and created half a thousand new jobs - said Grzegorz Piechowiak, government plenipotentiary for foreign investment and deputy minister for development and technology.
- This year we are celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Tarnobrzeg Special Economic Zone EURO-PARK WISŁOSAN. During this time, companies have invested 15.5 billion PLN in building, modernising and equipping production facilities. Entrepreneurs have created and maintained over 27 thousand jobs - said Cezariusz Lesisz, President of the Industrial Development Agency JSC.
On January 19th the ARP S.A. handed in a decision on support for business activity to Enchem Poland Sp. z o.o. This is the hundredth decision in the Tarnobrzeg Special Economic Zone and at the same time it is the third largest Korean investment in the Tarnobrzeg zone since the beginning of the Polish Investment Zone.
- EURO-PARK KOBIERZYCE, in which the Tarnobrzeg Special Economic Zone issues decisions on support, has been attracting innovative companies for years. The Korean LG Energy Solution, which produces batteries for electric cars, already operates within the zone. Now the zone gains another investment, the Korean Enchem company will expand its plant by almost four times its production capacity. The company has earmarked PLN 240 million for the investment. It will produce lithium salt, used in the production of batteries for electric cars, and will cooperate with LG Energy Solution Wrocław Sp. z o.o. This proves that EURO-PARK KOBIERZYCE is not only a place to do business, but also a place where close cooperation between companies can be established - said Paweł Kolczyñski, Vice President of IDA JSC.
Enchem Poland sp. z o.o. will invest 240 million PLN in Kobierzyce. It plans to build a new factory and a lithium production installation. - Lithium salt is one of the main ingredients used in the production of electrolyte for batteries, as well as in the production of batteries for electric cars. Due to the geopolitical situation and difficulties in access to raw material on world markets, we will produce this component in-house. In this way, we will secure continuity in the production of electrolyte and, consequently, batteries, allowing for uninterrupted supplies to major customers - manufacturers of batteries for electric cars, including LG Energy Solution Wrocław Sp. z o.o. We will be the only producer of lithium salt in Europe," said Byung Won Lee, CEO of Enchem Poland Sp. z o.o.
